Apple TV has unveiled the first look at season two of “Bad Sisters,” featuring an all‑star cast led by Emmy nominee and BAFTA winner Sharon Horgan alongside Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson. The new eight‑episode season will premiere globally on Apple TV with its first two episodes on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through December 25.
Two years after the so‑called “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband, the Garvey sisters seem to have moved forward with their lives. But when buried truths begin to surface, the close-knit family is drawn back into the public eye. Tensions spike, suspicions mount, secrets unravel, and the sisters are forced to question who they can trust as new complications emerge.
Blending sharp dark humor with gripping thriller elements, the acclaimed series returns with both familiar faces and exciting new additions. Season two welcomes a standout ensemble including Fiona Shaw, Owen McDonnell, Thaddea Graham, Barry Ward, Michael Smiley, Saise Quinn, Daryl McCormack, Yasmine Akram, Jonjo O’Neill, Peter Claffey, Deirdre Mullins, Lorcan Cranitch, Liz Fitzgibbon, and Justine Mitchell.
Since premiering worldwide, the first season of Bad Sisters has earned major accolades, including the BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series and a Best Supporting Actress win for Anne‑Marie Duff. It has also been recognized by the WGA Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Royal Television Society Awards, and the Irish Film and Television Awards. Critics widely praised the season one finale as “the most satisfying TV finale of the year,” calling the show “one of the year’s best,” “wickedly funny and genuinely poignant,” and “this year’s most vicious comic treat.”
The series is executive produced by Horgan, Faye Dorn, and Clelia Mountford for Merman, with Dearbhla Walsh also serving as executive producer and director. Additional executive producers include Bert Hamelinck, Michael Sagol, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer. Horgan, Finkel, and Baer adapted season one from the Belgian series Clan by Malin‑Sarah Gozin, who also joins as an executive producer. Bad Sisters is produced by Merman Television and 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
