A new era begins — and a new frontier awaits. The alternate‑history sci‑fi epic returns to Apple TV on Friday, March 27.
Apple TV has released the high‑energy trailer for season five of For All Mankind, the award‑winning and globally celebrated space‑drama from creators Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi. The 10‑episode season will premiere worldwide with its first installment on Friday, March 27, followed by weekly releases every Friday through May 29.
Set in the 2010s, the new season picks up years after the famed Goldilocks asteroid mission. Happy Valley has now evolved into a bustling Martian colony, home to thousands and serving as the launch point for ambitious deep‑space exploration. But as Earth’s governments push for stricter governance over the Red Planet, tensions rise between Mars’ residents and the nations they once belonged to.
Returning cast members include Joel Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt. Season five also welcomes several new regulars: Mireille Enos (The Killing, Hanna), Costa Ronin (The Americans, Homeland), Sean Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), and Ines Asserson (Royalteen).
The series is created by Emmy winner Moore and Emmy‑nominated showrunners Wolpert and Nedivi. All three executive produce the show alongside Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, plus Kira Snyder, David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, and Seth Edelstein. For All Mankind is produced for Apple TV by Sony Pictures Television.
