Believe it! Apple’s Emmy‑winning sensation “Ted Lasso” officially renewed for a fourth season, with Jason Sudeikis returning as star and executive producer

Apple TV+ has confirmed that the global hit Ted Lasso will make its triumphant return for season four, bringing back the full creative team behind the record‑setting, multi‑Emmy‑Award‑winning comedy. Jason Sudeikis will once again step into the role of the endlessly optimistic coach Ted Lasso, continuing both his on‑screen performance and his work as an executive producer.

“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,’” Sudeikis said, “in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”

Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, celebrated the announcement: “Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut—winning the hearts of fans everywhere and delivering joy, laughter, and a powerful message of kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief. Everyone at Apple is thrilled to continue our collaboration with Jason and the extraordinary creative team.”

Season four will welcome Emmy winner Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, Modern Family, 30 Rock) as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV+. Sudeikis returns as star and executive producer alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein also serves as a writer and executive producer with Leanne Bowen.

Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh join as writers and producers for the upcoming season, with Sasha Garron as co‑producer. Julia Lindon will write for the new season, and Dylan Marron comes aboard as story editor. Bill Lawrence executive produces through Doozer Productions, in partnership with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also serve as executive producers. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly, and Hunt, based on the original characters and format created for NBC Sports.

Since its debut on Apple TV+, Ted Lasso has broken numerous records, with its first season becoming the most Emmy‑nominated comedy ever in its freshman year. The show went on to win back‑to‑back Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series for its first two seasons—an achievement rarely seen in television.
