Juventus 4 x 1 Wydad AC: Offense and Control

Juventus stepped onto the pitch with a clear goal: to secure another three points. Right from kickoff, the Italian side dominated the pace and comfortably beat Wydad AC 4–1.

Early in the match, Kenan Yildiz opened the scoring with a powerful shot from outside the box that deflected off a defender. Soon after, the young Turkish star added a second with a beautiful finish into the top corner. Although Wydad responded with a goal from Themba Zwane, Juve remained in control.

In the second half, Yildiz completed his hat trick with an impressive solo run. Finally, Dusan Vlahovic sealed the victory with a clinical finish in stoppage time. This win marked Juventus’ second in Group G, putting them on the brink of qualification.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri praised the team’s offensive chemistry and highlighted their potential for further growth. With six points, Juventus leads the group thanks to a superior goal difference.

Manchester City 6 x 0 Al Ain FC: A Collective Masterclass

If there were any doubts about Manchester City’s readiness for the tournament, they were completely erased. Pep Guardiola’s side delivered a stunning 6–0 win over Al Ain FC, even while rotating several starters.

In the first half, Ilkay Gundogan scored twice — the first from a pinpoint free kick and the second after a slick combination with Etcheverri. Shortly after, Erling Haaland added a third from the penalty spot.

The second half was more of the same. Rising star Etcheverri netted a long-range rocket, followed by Oscar Bobb scoring on a rebound. Finally, Rayan Cherki closed out the match with a composed finish.

Guardiola praised the intensity and teamwork, especially from younger and less experienced players. With six points, City now trails Juventus only on goal difference, making their next match a direct battle for the top of Group G.

Real Madrid 3 x 1 Pachuca: Grit and Class

Real Madrid showcased their big-game mentality once again, defeating Pachuca 3–1 despite playing nearly the entire match with ten men. Defender Raúl Asencio was sent off just six minutes in for a reckless challenge.

Still, Madrid struck first, with Jude Bellingham finishing a swift counterattack. Minutes later, Arda Güler doubled the lead with a powerful shot into the far corner.

After halftime, Pachuca pulled one back through Elías Montiel following a corner. Yet, Madrid kept their composure and sealed the win with a long-range strike from Federico Valverde in the 81st minute.

The result put Real at the top of Group H, with control over their path to the knockout stage. Manager Carlo Ancelotti called the victory a true test of character and commended the squad’s mental strength.

RB Salzburg 0 x 0 Al Hilal: A Tactical Standoff

Unlike their fellow European teams, RB Salzburg had a quieter matchday. In a tightly contested game, the Austrian side played to a 0–0 draw against Al Hilal, complicating their chances of advancing.

Salzburg began with some energy, generating early chances through Simic and Forson, but struggled to break down Al Hilal’s defense. The Saudi club, meanwhile, threatened on the counter but failed to capitalize.

With both teams still in contention, Salzburg now faces a must-win situation against Real Madrid in the final group stage match. Coach Gerhard Struber admitted the team needs to take more risks in the attacking third if they want to progress.

The draw left Group H wide open heading into the final round.

Standings Snapshot After the Weekend of Club World Cup

Overall, European clubs had a strong showing this weekend, with Juventus, Manchester City, and Real Madrid all securing important wins. Only RB Salzburg dropped points. Here’s how things stand:

  • Juventus: 6 points, leading Group G on goal difference
  • Manchester City: 6 points, level on points but second on goal difference
  • Real Madrid: 6 points, atop Group H, nearly qualified
  • RB Salzburg: 2 points, must beat Real Madrid to advance

While Juventus, City, and Madrid are on solid ground, Salzburg will need to deliver their best performance yet to keep their Club World Cup hopes alive.
