The Ahsoka series premiere is one of the most anticipated events for fans of the Star Wars universe. The season, which will be shown exclusively on Disney+, features former Jedi Ahsoka Tano, played by fan favorite actress Rosario Dawson. The story takes place shortly after the fall of the Empire and promises to explore much more of this universe created by George Lucas.

Origin of Ahsoka
Ahsoka is a spin-off of The Mandalorian series and is part of the Star Wars universe. The main character, Ahsoka Tano, was originally created for the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and soon after appeared in Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian. In addition, the character is a former padawan of Anakin Skywalker and one of the survivors of the Jedi Order shortly after the execution of order 66.
The story takes place shortly after the events of The Mandalorian, and follows the protagonist on her journey to find the freedom fighter , Ezra Bridger.
Cast and Characters
The series brings back the iconic Star Wars character, with Rosario Dawson in the lead role. Along with Dawson, we have other big names confirmed in production. Hayden Christensen returns as Darth Vader, the saga’s most iconic villain. Mary Elizabeth Winstead portrays Hera Syndulla, a Twi’lek pilot who leads the rebel Specter squadron in the animation. Natasha Liu Bordizzo is Sabine Wren, a Mandalorian warrior who helps Ahsoka on her quest. Ray Stevenson is Baylan Skoll, a bounty hunter who crosses paths with Ahsoka.
While we don’t know if there will be more appearances, Christensen’s presence as Vader is enough to get fans excited.

The series is an eight-episode production made by Lucasfilm Ltd., an American film production company. The series began production in 2021 and will launch on August 23, 2023, on the Disney+ streaming platform.
Additionally, The Mandalorian creators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are involved in the production. While Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett are executive producing.
