The success of Walt Disney Animation Studios Enchantment was recognized as the best animated film. This is the second Oscar for director Byron Howard and producer Clark Spencer, and the first for director Jared Bush and producer Yvette Merino. The win adds to a string of accolades including recognition from the Anne Awards, Art Directors Guild Awards, BAFTA Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, Golden Globes®, NAACP Image Awards and Producers Guild Awards. Charm was also the first Disney film to be the first album and first single.

Tammy Faye’s eyes have won two awards, including Best Actress for Jessica Chastain for her role as Tammy Faye Bakker. This moment celebrates Chastain’s first Oscar® and marks the sixth Oscar® for Searchlight Films for Best Actress. Tammy Faye’s Eyes also won Best Hair & Makeup, the studio’s first Oscar in the category.
West Side Story
Ariana DeBose marked a historic moment by winning Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Anita in Amor, Sublime Amor, the first openly queer Afro-Latina woman to receive the honor. The Oscar® winner and Rita Moreno also made history by becoming the first girl group to win an Oscar® for the same role; their victories came 60 years apart.
Cruella
Ultimately, legendary costume designer Jenny Beavan won Best Costume Design for Disney’s Cruella. Beavan’s work on the film also received a BAFTA Award, a Custom Designers Guild Award and a Critics Choice Award.
